Lisa Patefield, Executive Director: Lisa's job is only hands-on if you are talking about a keyboard or a calculator. She handles the bill paying, public relations and public speaking chores for the shelter, as well as coordinating fundraisers and special events. Lisa's is a familiar face in the community through the many presentations she provides for various schools and organizations.

Barb Rayno, Shelter Manager: Barb has over 20 years of experience in animal shelters and vet clinics. Originally from Washington State, she is a certified humane officer and veterinary technician. Barb manages the shelter's staff, is responsible for assessing the health of shelter animals, and coordinates all spay, neuter, and other surgeries. She has a finely honed sense of humor that comes from two decades of dealing with people and animals.

Terri Presper, Volunteer Coordinator: Along with adoption coordination and counseling and administrative duties, Terri manages the shelter's devoted and essential team of volunteers. Please contact her any Monday through Thursday afternoon to discuss volunteer opportunities. Terri also writes the Happy Endings and other stories for our newsletters, as well as the text for Pets of the Week which appears every Friday in the Daily Jefferson County Union.

Kelly Pemper, Administrative Assistant: Kelly handles many administrative duties including database management, as well as customer service and adoptions. She is the force behind HSJC's quarterly newsletter, from the inception of the articles to the management of the mailing list. Kelly is also responsible for our Petfinder page and is the photographer for this as well as for Pets of the Week.

Amanda Bauer, Chandra Gates, Diane Lundt, Corky Lupei, and Samantha Maurice: Our dedicated caregivers work very hard to provide conscientious, compassionate care to every animal at the HSJC. Cleaning and disinfecting cages and kennels, administering medicine, and providing 24-hour stray pick up are just a few of their many duties. Through their tireless efforts, our "dream team" ensures that each animal at the shelter receives top notch care in a safe and healthy environment.
